Isaya Emanikor Ethuro

Isaya has over four decades of experience in education, community development, and project management. His career has been dedicated to improving educational standards and fostering peace in Turkana and neighboring regions.

As a former Commissioner of the Teachers Service Commission and Education Secretary for the AIC Turkana Area Council, Isaya has played crucial roles in teacher management, recruitment, and welfare, as well as overseeing educational activities aligned with both church and government standards.

One of his most significant achievements was leading the Turkana Bible Translation Project, which resulted in the completion of the first Turkana Bible translation. This project not only preserved language but also promoted literacy and cultural understanding in the region.
